The LifeX Accelerator is an intensive, cohort-based program designed to refine the core elements of your business model, pressure-test assumptions, and uncover critical unknowns—building a clear pathway to investor readiness.
This highly selective, three-month virtual program is limited to a small group of high-potential life science ventures, ensuring deep engagement with industry experts, investors, and mentors. Participants benefit from a dynamic peer network, hands-on guidance, and exclusive access to a high-impact, in-person bootcamp in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where they gain strategic insights and refine their commercialization strategy.
With no geographic restrictions, we welcome founders from across the United States who are ready to accelerate their journey toward market success.

Life Science & Healthtech Startups
- Open to all companies across life sciences and health innovation - including, but not limited to, digital health, medical devices, diagnostics, and therapeutics.
Inception to Pre-Seed/Seed Stage
- Ideal for startups seeking comprehensive support to build their network and pressure-test key assumptions.
Fundraising & Grant Readiness
- For companies preparing to raise pre-seed or seed rounds or apply for SBIR/STTR and other non-dilutive funding.
Prior Business or Innovation Experience
- Applicants should have completed basic business or innovation programs, such as university incubators, general accelerators, or I-Corps.
Time Commitment
- Founders should be able to dedicate 8-10 hours per week to commercialization-focused efforts.
Flexible Team Requirements
- Teams do not need to be working full-time on their startup but should have a business lead planning to take on an operational leadership role.
No Incorporation or Geographic Restrictions
- Companies do not need to be incorporated to participate, and there are no geographic limitations.
Join our Next Accelerator Cohort
Cohorts Run Semi-Annually, Spring and Fall
- Virtual sessions take place on Tuesdays & Thursdays
- Two-hour blocks 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Eastern
Our next cohort will start in Spring 2026. Applications for our S26 cohort will be open in January of 2026.
